About The Event
Instructor: Â Laura MacEachern
The knitted beaded wristwarmers are a part of cultural heritage of the Baltic nations, especially Lithuania, where they are a part of traditional Lithuanian national costume.Â
Knit from a very thin wool and adorned with beads that are knit-in according to the chosen pattern, wristwarmers are both highly decorative and functional - keeping your wrists warm helps to keep your whole body warmer.
In this workshop participants will  learn the technique of knitting these beautiful pieces of clothing, that add distinction to your knitted wardrobe and make exquisite gifts.
To make the most of this workshop, you need to be able to knit with very thin needles (1.25 - 1.5mm) at a tight gauge, knitting with a very fine yarn. Â And you should know the long tail cast-on method.
Additional fee of $39 for kit. Â Includes Addi knitting nedles, Czech glass beads, beading needle, Italian Merino Wool yarn, instructions and pattern sheets. Â Payable to Laura on day of workshop.
Please note workshops are kept small to make the most of your day. Â If you need to cancel, your workshop fee is non refundable but you can transfer your registration to someone else. Â If we have a wait list and someone can take your place, you will receive a refund less a $10 processing fee.
