About The Event

From the Ashford Wheels & Looms Blog ashford handicrafts - Bronson Check on a Rigid Heddle Loom and The Ashford Book of Rigid Heddle Weaving.

Learn how to use a single reed and two pick-up sticks to create a table runner in the Bronson Check pattern.

In this workshop, you will learn how to read a rigid heddle pattern, warp your loom with threads doubled in the warp, and how to use floating selvedges to double your weft picks. During the workshop, you will warp your loom and learn how to weave the Bronson Check pattern. Projects will be finished at home.

Participants will need to have their own loom, 12 inches/30 cm or wider, a 10 dpi reed, 2 pick-up sticks, a threading hook, and two cones of contrasting warp and weft yarn in 8/2 cotton.

Participants must be able to warp their loom independently and have basic weaving experience.
