About The Event

Colour is one of the most exciting, and frustrating, parts of the fibre arts. Whether blending wool for spinning, layering fibres in felt, combining colours in weaving, or mixing dyes, many fibre artists rely on instinct or luck when combining colours, and often end up with results that feel unpredictable, or muddy.

This workshop introduces a practical, fibre-based approach to colour theory designed specifically for fibre artists. Participants will explore how colours interact through guided blending exercises using wool fibre, building the skills to make intentional, repeatable colour choices in their own work, and  will leave with a personal set of reference samples.

This workshop is ideal for:

●     Hand spinners

●     Needle and wet felters

●     Weavers working with colour interaction
