Time & Location
Aug 12, 2022, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Tatamagouche Centre, 259 Loop Route 6, Tatamagouche, NS B0K 1V0
About The Event
You will take the information you learned in the 101 class and apply it to plan, warp and begin weaving your own project.
Tammy will be available to help with any questions regarding yarn choices, reed size, colour etc , but ultimately you will design and warp your own project.
She will cover things such as winding on, crank and yank, tying on, lashing, hemstitching, selvedges, loose warps, warping mistakes (and fixing them) and other things that may come up as you are working.
Please note that you will complete warping your project and begin weaving, but the project will be completed at home.
All students MUST be able to warp independently. You should know all the weaving language from the 101 class and have woven multiple projects independently. When planning your projects, please consider your physical capabilities, i.e. someone who needs to warp in stages should not plan a 32" project for this class, or if vision is a problem, you should choose a bigger reed size *please note that students will not be able to plan a double width or 2 heddle project for this class
A complete list of required materials and equipment will be provided upon registration.
