About The Event
The history of the Hearth Basket was designed to hold firewood and kindling by the fireplace. This unique basket is mainly used in gardens now as flower or herb baskets. Learn to weave the technique of the step down weaving on a large D-Handle (10x14”)
Finished basket dimensions are 10”x22”. Height of basket is 4” at lowest to 8” at highest point. Handle is 14” high.
This is not a beginner workshop.
Participants must know the basics of weaving a basket with a closed bottom base(chicken feet), a basic knowledge of twinning around a basket.
Doris-Ann will contact each participant before workshop.
What to bring: 2 dozen clothespins regular size (not mini or x-large)
Small rag to wipe down reed
Towel for lap.
Kit is $70 payable on day of workshop to Doris-Ann
