Intro to Indigo and Shibori - a WoolstockEAST workshop
Everyone raved about this workshop last year, so we are bringing it back!!! Make a gorgeous bandana and learn the basics of shibori and indigo dyeing with Tzigane. No experience necessary, beginners are celebrated!

About The Event
In this 1-Day Workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of Natural Indigo Dyeing, using Shibori resist techniques, such as binding and stitching, on a cotton bandana and a yard of cotton fabric.
Join Tzigane Caddell and learn the fundamentals of shibori resists and indigo dyeing. You will use stitching and binding techniques on an organic cotton bandana and 1 yd of cotton fabric, which you will then dye in an organic indigo vat.
There will be several pattern choices for your bandana.
Please bring an apron, gloves and mask for dyeing and a plastic bag for wet pieces.
Instruction and cost of the Indigo Vat is included in the registration fee.
Please bring $40 fibre fee to be paid directly to Tzigane on workshop day.
There is a break for lunch so please bring one.
Extra fibres, for dyeing, will be available for purchase:
Organic Cotton Scarf - $35 ea.
Organic Cotton Bandana - $10 ea.
Please note workshops are kept small to make the most of your day. If you need to cancel, your workshop fee is non refundable but you can transfer your registration to someone else.
