Instructor: Lorna Ash of Shades of Ewe Fibreworks

Curious about spinning, but aren’t ready to splurge on a spinning wheel?

Maybe you only need small amounts of yarn for rug hooking, or want spinning to be more portable.

This introduction to the art of spinning will teach you the basics of how to make yarn using a drop spindle.

In this workshop you will spin a single ply yarn, learn about spinning vocabulary and the properties of wool.

You will also receive an overview of how to ply, and how to wet finish your yarns.
