About The Event
Lorna will help you explore the joy that is hand spinning as you learn about:
· The parts of the spinning wheel and how to set it up
· Fibre preparations and how to select fibre for projects
· Getting started spinning & wheel spinning basics
· Wheel ratios
· How to ply on a wheel
· Wheel maintenance
Participants may bring their own spinning wheel if it is in good working condition, or may borrow one for the day from Sisterhood Fibres.
Single day, 10am – 3pm includes half hour break for lunch
Prerequisite:Learn to Spin Level 1 – Drop Spindle or some experience with twist and drafting
Class size: 3-5
All equipment and supplies included
Please bring your lunch as we will have a half an hour lunch break.
