About The Event
Come and meet East Coast Fibre Folk - Josee Dessouroux
"I have been a knitter all my life, I started spinning 12 years ago, tried dyeing raw fibres, tried felting, wet and needle...I loved and still love all of that but my true passion came when I dicovered weaving...
It started with a table loom some 5 years ago.
After overcoming the intimidating task to wind a warp correctly and dress the loom...i discovered the joy of watching a cloth appear...and the endless possibilities weaving offers started to dawn on me.
Soon after that I bought a second hand 4 shaft counterbalance floor loom!
New challenges...new fun!
Needless to say my loom doesn’t stay empty for very long..so many things to try, different fibres, colours, patterns...I will need more than one life to try it all!"
Drop by the Sisterhood today, chat with Josee and watch her weave.
And yes, there will be a loom on hand if you want to give it a test drive.
Please bring (and wear) your mask.
You are welcome to come to Wooly Hill for the afternoon and hang out.
Bring your current project and join a few Sisters in the screen room to chat and enjoy the view.
