About The Event
Instructor: Elise Campbell
Elevate your wardrobe by creating your own hand-dyed scarf.
Nuno felting is the process of binding wool fibre to an open-weave fabric to create a transformed lightweight fabric.
Using extra fine merino and high quality silk, Elise will guide participants through the layout, felting, fulling and dyeing of a simple rectangular scarf. The dyeing portion of this class will be created with safe-to-use food dye and white vinegar, providing students with the information needed to continue to make and dye from home.
This fun workshop requires some stamina, patience and a little belief in magic.
Materials included. Please bring 2 bath towels, a bag to bring wet towels home and a PVC pipe or pool noodle. Ball brauser (optional)
Though wet felting experience is beneficial, it is not necessary.
