About The Event
Learn how to make wild fibre yarn, Thick n’ Thin singles, and Bulky/Standalone singles. Lorna will also explore wrapping techniques like auto wrapping.
You will make several smaller skeins of yarn throughout the workshop as you learn these techniques.
Skill Level: Participants should have experience in basic spinning and plying, and be able to do these tasks without assistance.
Equipment Needed:
• Spinning wheel
• 2-3 empty bobbins
• Lazy Kate
• Niddy Noddy
• Jumbo Flyer (If you have one, but not required)
• At least 2 small containers that a spool of thread can roll around in (bowl, mug, jar, etc)
** Material list provided upon registration.
If you don’t have the necessary supplies on hand, texture packs and dyed braids are available for sale from Lorna prior to the start of class.
