About The Event
Weavers will begin to weave a 2 block Swedish lace pattern Tea Towel using 2/8 cotton. You will begin with pick-up sticks, then move to string heddles.
Students will learn to place pick-up sticks, weave the pattern, make string heddles, and insert and use string heddles to increase the capabilities of their loom.
Students will come to class with their 20” or larger loom warped using a 10 dent reed and the hem woven so we can begin right away with the pattern. Homework will be received at time of registration.
Students will receive a copy of Tammy's Lace Tea Towel Pattern.
Students will need 2/8 cotton to warp their loom and should come to class with all their weaving paraphernalia including a flexible tape measure, sharp scissors, an extra reed (any size) a stick shuttle, 2 pick-up sticks at least 22”, painter’s tape and a marker that shows up well on the painter’s tape
This is not a beginner class. Weavers should be comfortable using at least 1 pick-up stick.
Please note workshops are kept small to make the most of your day. If you need to cancel, your workshop fee is non refundable but you can transfer your registration to someone else.
