About The Event

Instructor: Tammy Bast, the Rogue Weaver

The rigid heddle loom is often thought of as a beginner’s loom — but it is capable of so much more.

In this three-hour session, Tammy Bast of The Rogue Weaver will explore what makes the rigid heddle loom such a powerful and versatile tool.

Through a visual slideshow and a variety of finished pieces to see, touch, and handle, you’ll discover techniques, structures, and creative possibilities that go well beyond plain weave.

From colour and weave to texture, pick-up work, lace structures, and working with multiple heddles, Tammy will share examples, explain how they’re achieved, and help you see your loom in a new way.

The second part of the session will be dedicated to questions and discussion.
