About The Event
Instructor: Leslie McFarlane
In this welcoming, hands-on workshop, participants are guided step by step through wet-felted shibori techniques using hand dyed silk and merino wool.
Through gentle binding, resisting, and fulling, a richly textured felted piece is created and attached to driftwood, resulting in a small sculptural work inspired by quiet coastal forms such as lichen and barnacles.
Each finished piece will be mounted onto driftwood, provided for you, creating a sculptural piece that blends fibre and found natural elements.
All materials are included:
• Margilan silk
