About The Event
Wet felting is the process of creating fabric from fibre. Learning to create a garment from natural, renewable resources an exciting introduction to slow-fashion.
Join Elise and wet felt a stunning ruffle scarf. Using wool, exotic fibres, soapy water and friction, you will design a lightweight, durable scarf to last a generation.
Elise will guide you through each step and teach principles of shrinkage and fibre manipulation to create a cheeky ruffle and beautiful finish.
Cost: $70 + $20 material fee
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Wool, fibre and some tools will be provided.
Please bring:
Wool, fibre and some tools will be provided, participants will need to bring:
3-4 old bath towels
2 meters of bubble wrap (small bubbles) Can be taped together
bar soap or dish soap
your MASK & LUNCH
Optional to bring:
special fibre you’ve been dying to use (bamboo, silk, ramie, viscose, milk, rose, Seacell, etc.)
additional 2 meters of bubble wrap
bag to bring home wet towels in
ball brause (sprayer) if you have one
sharp scissors
change of shirt ;)
Safety protocols will be followed. The venue is a good size for social distancing
