About The Event
An introduction to the art of yarnbombing.Â
This workshop lead by Newfoundland Yarnbomber Nina Elliott will cover everything from what yarnbombing is to how to do it and everything in between. Nina will share her journey and some of her work as well as introduce us to some of the yarn bombers from around the world that inspire her. Â She'll share how she got started, the philosophy she follows and her why. Â
This informal workshop is open to all experience levels - from beginner to superstar fibre artists. Â
At the end of the workshop, attendees will be invited to contribute to a yarnbomb that will live at the Sisterhood Studio. Using single crochet attendees will create flowers that will be assembled into a yarnbomb that visually depicts the joy and creativity of fibre art!
- Yarn & hooks will be provided.Â
- No experience necessary for the workshop.Â
- Knowledge of single crochet is necessary to contribute to the project.Â
- We can accommodate 1-2 people with no crochet experience but please let us know in advance.
In order to allow any who want to attend, regardless of financial situation, this workshop is being offered with a suggested workshop fee of $5 or PWYC (pay what you can). Please consider paying more than the minimum if you are able, to help offset workshop costs for all attendees.
